Thanks for signing my guestbook. Remember, if you want me to respond or answer a question, please leave your email address in your message or send me an email directly at ranlay@yahoo.com. I can't get back to you otherwise.
It didn't take long to get you to Kansas, did it Randull? So predictable. So pathetic. And just when I thought you couldn't be an even more pompous clown, you now have tshirts about yourself. Better get back to protecting those western states positions. Never know when I'll unseat you somewhere. TATA. (stands for Trans Atlantic Trackchasing Alliance)
Thanks on your comments about the speedway and the East Peoria area I too went to EP high as I am from Creve Coeur. I think that you have forgotten that the flagman's stand used to be on the other side of the track on a platform above the fence across from the judges stand right by the pit gate fence I don't remember when it was moved to the judge's stand but in the seventies I used to pit crew in white pants for Gerry Reeder and the flag stand was on the same side that the fans were. I am sure that someone has already lrt you know this Collett Grammer
I'm the Sec/Treas of T.A.R.A. in Baker. Been in racing since 2000 but retired my car in 2008. I'm impressed with how you represented our track in June. Since I help run the race I miss the phot ops. Thanks for an entertaining slide show.
Randy....I met you at your new home in CA about five years ago with Dave Sully. We went to dinner on the beach. I understand you went to Woodhull, NY and liked it. So do I.It's about 2.5 hours from where I live in Western New York. Thanks for coming into my region and giving a "thumbs up" on a track that I really like as well.
You sure do get around!!LOL!!You should have checked out Glenridge Motorsports Park in Fultonville,NY while you were there.Definately check it out next time if you haven't already!!
Will be great to see you at Ekalaka and Baker, MT this weekend. I will look you up at the race on Sunday in Baker, after the tech inspections in the a.m. . I will be one of the techs and busy for a while. If you would like I could give you the low-down and info. I was involved with b-n-r for about 4 years with my buddy, and driver Courtney Dietz. Look forward to meeting you.
It was an honor tohave you at our kart race in Santa Maria. I like the pictures you posted including my six year old with his helmet cam. It shoots amazing video if you want to see it go to my website www.mizzleproductions.com and click on Zach Brown Racing.
Thanks again for coming to Santa Maria
Love your site. Your recent trip to Santa Maria Speedway has a picture posted of Doug and Nettie Fort, with yours truly at the awards banquet probably 1980.
what a great race track, among many in the U.S.
I also liked your responses about NASCAR HATERS. As a Current car owner in the Nationwide series I am a avid supporter of NASCAR... They like all of us are not perfect, but in my experience we are not only entertaining but NASCAR has given us racers a place to make a living racing. And a great place for SPONSORS to advertise....
Are you related in any way to Steve Lewis, owner of the famous 9 racing team? Just wondering... Its cool what you and your wife do. I love racing as well. Been into it directly since 2004 doing software for Maxwell Industries Shock and Bar dynos as well for Waterman fuel flow benches. Love the late model dirt racing and sprint and midget as well. I've been to about 30 tracks - mostly dirt. Man, you have a great life!
Long time Dake fan here. I first saw him as a five-year-old in 1967 at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds in Davenport, Iowa. My father used to take me and together with my mom and three-year-old brother, we'd join my grandma, her second husband, and about a half-dozen friends and watch the races every Friday night. We did this for several years and once in awhile, dad would take me to West Liberty, Hawkeye Downs and the Quad-Cities Raceway (but there they did Figure-8 races). I always cheered for Darrell. My other favs were Curt Hansen, Mike Niffenegger and Ray Guss.
